Look at all those entries!!!! When I had this idea of a contest to celebrate my "Alive-iversary" I had no idea I would get such a response!!! Now I bet most of you thought.....me being a math person......I would use a random number generator to pick a winner. Nope. Technically they aren't random....they are based on an algorithm....now in reality they are probably random enough....but you don't really care about that. So I wrote everyone's name down, cut equal size strips, no folding (don't want an unfair advantage) and asked DH to draw a winner....
.....Congratulations Turtle!!! (I don't have an email address for you, so please email me so I can email you your gift certificate!) Go congratulate Turtle yourself!!!
I tell you it sure has been fun reading all your comments!!! and meeting so many new people!!!
On the knitting front, my second Merino Lace sock just got finished. It is waiting for a proper photo shoot another day. One of my next projects.....involves my sewing machine!
I'm going to make a brown skirt! I've had a hard time finding a dark brown skirt that I like and fits, so I decided to try making one! I think it will be a fun project. The fabric of the skirt is hard to photograph, but hopefully you get the idea. I'll keep you updated on my progress!
Oh and please don't be afraid to leave a little comment! You all are so good at it and I so enjoy hearing from you!!!
Congratulations to the winner!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to turtle! I love that you commented on the actual randomness of random number generators, haha. I do like random.org because they use atmospheric noise to seed their generator, which should be pretty random, yeah? And I can't believe you finished those socks already - so speedy! =)
ReplyDeleteOh, I can't wait to see the skirt! (I'm madly in need of quality time with my machine.) Congrats to Turtle!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Turtle! That skirt will be lovely ~ keep us "posted!"
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to see the skirt. I am getting a sewing machine and need to learn to sew. :)

ReplyDeleteHey thats me! Thank you so much (i just emailed you) I also had to smile at the "random" generator. I like the skirt pattern and fabric. Slowly my new machine and i are making friends, slowly.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Turtle!
ReplyDeleteIt seems as if a lot of knitters these days are breaking out thier sewing machines to fashion nice clothes for themselves.

Congratulations to Turtle. How nice to win something!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your skirt.
When I first started doing my contests I also used the strips of paper, but honestly it got to be too much to cut out 100 strips every week for a month... when I found the random number generator I sighed in relief. it's random enough for me for now, lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats Turtle if it couldn't be me I am glad it was you, LOL
Congrats Turtle! I love that random name picking more than computer random generators. Good luck with the skirt! I hope it comes out the way you want it to!
ReplyDeleteCongrats turtle. Good luck with the skirt. Love the blue and yellow yarn you got from Robin
