Remember how I said I was going on a yarn diet after my trip to Scotland? (except for baby yarn....because there is none in the stash and there are babies to knit for) So I needed to share how well I'm doing. I almost cheated.....did you catch the almost? Saturday night, after a blissful day of spinning, I saw
Wollemeise available at The Loopy Ewe. People go crazy for this yarn (sock yarn) absolutely crazy and I saw 13 colorways available.....they always sell out within a few hours.....if they last that long. I almost gave in.....but I have no guilt and am happy to report I have no
Wollemeise. I don't know if it would live up to the hype, but the diet is going strong at the moment! Just thought you should know. :)
Well done! I saw that, too -- it was all over Twitter, haha -- but I've never actually seen or felt Wollemeise in person, so I just can't justify that much money on an unknown yarn! I know people love it, and I'm sure I would, too, but I have more sock yarn right now than I can handle. ;) (Note, though, that this will not keep me from joining next year's Vampire Sock Club again, if I can get in, haha.)
ReplyDeleteCongrats for staying strong! Wollmeise at TLE normally sells out in minutes not hours. :) Although the last few updates it's lasted longer. I wonder if people are starting to get their fill?
ReplyDeleteYeah for you not breaking.... I am so sad because I have been really wanting some Wollemeise and haven't been able to find it. I wish I had known.... There isn't any left. :-(
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute!
ReplyDeleteLove, Mom
Aren't you good? Impressive!!
ReplyDeleteI could use some of your self-control :)
ReplyDeleteCommendable restraing, Leah!
ReplyDeleteHi Leah, I can't remember whether on not you quilt, but when I saw the link to this pattern, it had your name on it: http://www.redroosterfabrics.com/content7365.html Enjoy

Yay, Leah!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't experienced the Wollemeise in person yet, so I probably can't fully appreciate your resistance to it, but good for you!
Keep it up!
(Oh, and thank you for your input with the question on purple brick road. I truly appreciated your insights!)
