At 7:00 am this morning the Ravelympics began! I got my cup of coffee and started my shawl! Here it is after the first chart.....it makes you feel like you are making great progress to be finished with a chart, but I know....lots more to go. In fact I've done the 2nd chart 2 times (out of 19) and each time it gets longer. But I'm confidant that it will be done in no time!
So how did I do on my goals for yesterday?
- Socks--finished!!! Even blocked!
- Skirt--almost done...just have to hand stitch (yuck) the yoke lining on the inside. I tried it on last night (and it looks all finished on the right side) I couldn't be happier! DH wants me to wear it to church on Sunday and he said he would take pics of it then....so Monday it should debut on the blog (I guess I have to do that hand stitching) :)
- Other goodies for swap....I started one of them (they should be a good diversion when I'm tired of the shawl)
Okay....have to stay focus on the games! GEAUX BRRS!!!!

good luck! i opted out due to my work schedule but tracking you ladies!
Now you have a reason to completely finish the skirt. That will help.
Geaux Leah Geaux!!!
looking forward to seeing that completed skirt.
As an official Ravelolympic cheerleader let me just say to my fellow knitatletes...
Let the games begin, Rah Rah Rah
Good job on completing your goals for the most part! :)
I started my scarf this morning at 8:15. I need to take some pictures (of that as well as some stuff at Mom's). Yay for the Olympics!
I stayed up until Midnight in NZ in order to be able to cast on when the games began. It was so worth it. Not just because the opening was stunning but now I feel really fired up. Wishing you well with the skirt. Love the tag that goes across teh corner of your blog, so clever. God Bless.
Good for you.
What shawl pattern are you knitting?
Can I be your cheerleader?
Good luck!
Can't wait to see the skirt!
Sounds like you've been a very bsuy girl, gotten your other thing out of the way so that you can start the Olympics with a clean slate and the beautiful SHAWL! I hope hope hope I can do one one day!
Nice job on those goals! I can't wait to see your Swallowtail develop!
Hey Leah,
Thank you for the suggestions on working with the knitting chart. I am going to move forward and try it on an extra skein of yarn I have and use your hints. Thanks again, Georgi
