This and That

  1. I have started the Lily of the Valley Border chart on my shawl! (yeah!)  I had hoped to be a little further along, but....had to do some school work and visit the pastor's new little baby, and special time with DH who came home early yesterday!  (definitely worth being a little behind)  There still should be no problem finishing in time, so no worries!
  2. Last night DH and I tried a new restaurant....standard Louisiana fare.  Our favorite such restaurant has been the Chimes (close to campus, affordable, and very yummy)  It was the first such restaurant we had been to and while we've sampled many it has still come out on top....until now.  Now we say they are tied...each has their strengths.  The new restaurant we heard about during a guest preacher's sermon a church (another reason to pay attention during church!)  It is called Kevin's Cajun Cafe'.  It is a little bit of a drive, but yummy!  I've never liked catfish before....now I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
  3. Thanks for thinking about Knox....she was doing the same whining/looking at the ceiling thing to DH later that night, but is now back to normal....enjoying my lap while I'm knitting.

I'm glad you got to participate in "real life" during the ravelympics. Enjoy the little things. Before you know it you'll be back in school. :)

Not sure if I could eat catfish... I have it in my head I don't like ANY fish except for fish sticks, lol, and I am told that's NOT fish. Well it says FISH

Ooh, I may have to try Kevin's sometime, but you're right about it being a drive! I love Chimes, too, especially the boudin ball appetizers and the turkey burgers. And the alligator (fried and blackened, lol.) And basically everything else I've ever ordered there. But the boudin balls for sure! Mmm...now I am hungry! I'm glad Knox is doing better! =)

OK__whewn are we going to see more shawl pics?? I know it's going to be pretty from the first one you allowed us to see!!

Knox is SO much like Scratch, our family's first cat. My hubby didn't want a cat, but I had turned 30, and decided I was "old enough" to have one!! Oh course, he turned out to be my hubby's "baby", and he slept between us most every night!

Good work on your project, being behind's no issue when you've been having fun with other things.
